The N.C.C. Army wing started in the Institute from the year 2015, with a limited enrolment of 51 cadets in 6 Rajasthan Battalion NCC. To strengthen the idea of Youth development,
SPUP has offered NCC as a proficiency course with credits with B.A. 1st year students. Students have a choice to opt for NCC as a proficiency course among other courses as well in first year.
SPUP strongly supports financially and morally to all the activities of NCC being held in the University.
ANO is an important link in the NCC organization between the Battallion and the cadets.
As a matter of fact, ANO is the feeder node of NCC since he / she is the one who is in direct contact with the cadets all throughout the year.
Lt. Arjun Choudhary, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering,
is an Associate NCC Officer in Sardar Patel University of Police, Security and Criminal Justice. He has undergone three months training at OTA Kamptee (PRCN/SD-161,
from November-March 2017) and commissioned as an ANO NCC with a Rank of Lieutenant on 08 March 2017.

The National Cadet Corps (India) ) was formed under NCC Act of 1948 and is open to school and College/University students on voluntary basis. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades. The motto of NCC is “Unity and Discipline”.
SPUP, Jodhpur is affiliated with under the control of 6 Rajasthan Battalion NCC unit (Army wing). SPUP is functional under the Leadership of Lt. Arjun Choudhary.

Senior Division and Senior Wing: Cadets recruited from colleges fall under Senior Division and are under the command of Associated NCC Officer (ANO)
NCC ACTIVITIES
Focus is on instilling discipline in the souls of the cadets, besides fostering healthy competition for the ranks, while keeping the greater interest of the nation in mind to create prospective officers for the Armed Forces. The National Cadet Corps is the only organization of its kind, which imparts Leadership, Discipline, Integration, Adventure, Military, Physical and Community Development training to over 13 lakhs youth of the country.

BENEFITS OF NCC
Various Incentives are provided by the central Government to Cadets with NCC ‘B’ & ‘C’ certificate holders for recruitment in the ranks in the Defense Forces. NCC Special Entry Scheme for SD Wings graduates in OTA in group 19-25 years with 50% marks, through DDG of states for direct interview (SSB) every year. The Cadets are exempted from CDS examination conducted by UPSC.
